Market Capitalization (Market Cap) is the total value of a company calculated by the total price of all shares that have been issued on a stock exchange.
For example – Apple at time of writing has 4,443,236,000 shares issued, multiple that by the current share price of $276 per share makes the value of Apple $1,226,333,136,000 (Yes, $1.2 Trillion!).
