On the 29th January 2021 APRA released it’s annual Superannuation bulletin and provided data indicating that fees are decreasing. The above graph demonstrates that super funds are moving into a more competitive operating market. The renting seeking nature of the superannuation industry is being squeezed – just a little.
Hopefully the trajectory will continue and the pressure to drive costs down and increase performance continues. The Australian Sharemarket continues to get new companies offering lower brokerage and ETF fees. Who is going to shakeup the Australian Super industry with super low fees?
