Emergency Fund

An Emergency fund is a portion of money that is set aside in a cash account for when the shit hits the fan, such as health and financial emergencies.  The amount of money you keep is generally calculated in “your living costs per month”.  Example: keeping 6 months worth of living costs.  Ballsy people may consider this money inadequately invested and susceptible to many years of lost capital growth.
